Many fun and exciting things for the family going on at SeaWorld/Aquatica San Antonio this summer! Beginning on Saturday, June 8, three all-new shows will debut at SeaWorld San Antonio as the park begins its annual “Summer Nights” series.


Along with the 3 new shows, they will have returning seasonal favorites that include:

• Elmo Rocks, the family-friendly Sesame Street and sing along with all their favorite Sesame Street friends.
• Cool Vibrations, a fast-paced, high-energy water ski show that includes daredevil stunts, graceful moves and superior boat driving. Plus, a brand-new feature has been added that you cannot see anywhere else in the U.S., a Flyboard.
• Sea Lions Tonite, starring Clyde and Seamore, who are back with pranks and spoofs funnier than ever.
• Shamu Rocks!, a crowd rockin’, electrifying show featuring world-famous killer whale, Shamu.

Starting June 8, both parks will have extended hours that keep them open as late as 10 p.m., making Aquatica, SeaWorld’s Waterpark, open later than any other San Antonio area waterpark. That means that with opening times of 10 a.m., guests can enjoy up to an additional five hours of fun than any other area park.

SeaWorld will feature a spectacular fireworks display celebrating Independence Day on July 4, 5 and 6.

Spring not only bring April showers and May flowers, but for some of use it also brings irritable allergies and that dreaded "Allergy Face" look. Do you know what I'm talking about? • I personally do recommend taking ZYRTEC as directed, it works for me and don't stop taking it the moment you feel better because your symptoms can quickly come back if the air is not clear of what you may be allergic to. 
• Use a cold press or cold towel to put on your face to reduce puffiness, wear waterproof mascara to prevent your mascara from running down you face and many cosmetic brands sell "Eye Brightening" eyeshadows and tools. 
• I've also heard that it's best to stay clear from diary products because they can weaken your immune system and make your symptoms worse. 
• Don't forget to eat and take your vitamins so that your body can fight off those allergies.

Are you a Netflix family? I know so many families who love Netflix especially for their kids. We've had Netflix for a few years and love it. We don't pay for cable so Netflix has been there to provide our family with great entertaining show's. I've noticed a few changes over the past few months with Netflix and their programing . It's been a very positive change and not only do I love the new changes but the kids love it too!


With all the new shows and features Netflix has provided recently, I'm sure we'll always be a Netflix family. We stream Netflix from our game console in the living room and through the Netflix app on our phones and tablets. It's very easy to use, my 5 year has been able to use it and find her shows very easily for a while now and my 2 year old knows that it's the place to find his favorite shows.


A few months ago they had added a "Kids" section on Netflix, an entire section dedicated to kid and family friendly shows. Helps keep them away from any shows that are not suitable for children. Not only did they add a 'Just for Kids' section but they recently added new content from Hasbro, Disney Jr. and Cartoon Network.


My pre-schooler and I were both excited about the new changes. She could easily access all of her favorite shows and many more that would appeal to her quick and easily and I didn't have to worry about her accidentally clicking on programs that were not suitable for her and her brother.


One of her favorite show's on Netflix is 'My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic' from Hasbro. She's a huge My Little Pony fan and she was so happy to see it added to the list of shows on the kids section. It's a show we like to watch together because I remember watching My Little Pony as a child and playing my My Little Pony toys.


The kids also enjoy streaming Netflix on our phones and tablets. Sometimes when one is in the living watching their favorite shows or I'm watching one of my shows, they get on one of the other devices and watch their shows.

While I was in Miami last month for Hispanicize '13, I attended a P&G luncheon with Speaker Irma Martinez. Irma is a fashion stylist to celebrities and is recognized as a pioneer in her field in the Latin market. She's been offering her expertise fashion advice for over 20 years and in 1996 she founded Trendy Inc.
