Go Bites - For The Kid On The Go

{This is part of a sponsored campaign with Being Latino and Honey Maid. All opinions expressed are my own}

Active children needs lots of fuel to help them get though their sport activities or another fun day outdoors with the family. The kids and I love to take advantage of all the great outdoor activities and events here in San Antonio. We have a few amusement parks we visit often, plenty of beautiful parks to play at, and great trails to walk and take a ride on. Keeping them fueled up keeps them energized and their spirits high. I avoid mental and physical breakdowns by providing them with snacks that not only taste great but are high in protein and whole grains. With Honey Maid GoBites everybody wins!

No matter how active they are or their choice in activities, don't forget to take time to share a special moment with your child.

What are your favorite on-the-go snacks? With two young ones, I feel as if I'm always packing on-the-go snacks for them. Everyday I send my first grader to school with a little snack that she can enjoy during her snack-time. Something quick and easy to eat is always the best option and with a picky eater on my hands, finding something she'll like can often be a challenge. As a lover of graham crackers, Honey Maid never disappoints and now we have more Honey Maid snack options. We're excited to try Honey Maid GoBites; crispy pockets with delicious fillings delivering protein and whole grains. Honey Maid GoBites are available in chocolate and vanilla flavor to please even the pickiest snackers!

Breakfast Biscuits For Busy Mornings

(This is part of a sponsored campaign with Latina Mom Bloggers and Honey Bunches of Oats. All opinions expressed are my own}

As parents we know how important it is that our children eat breakfast every morning before school. A nutritional meal before class can help students concentrate on their academics and provide them with the energy necessary for the busy school day ahead. I know exactly how busy and hectic some mornings can be, with a little one that rides the school bus very early in the morning, I've learned to plan ahead and accordingly to ensure she gets a small meal in before her day begins. Honey Bunches of Oats Breakfast Biscuits wants to make your mornings easier with their delicious on-the-go biscuits.

8 Things You Need To Know About Booster Seat Safety

Add caption

Children who have reached the weight and/or height limit on their 5 point harness carseat should be placed in a booster seat. The minimum recommended requirements for a child to be placed into a booster seat is 4 years AND 40 pounds not one of the other, in most states it's the law. It's best to keep your child in a 5-point harness carseat until they have reached the maximum weight and height even though they meet the minimum requirements for a booster seat.

A booster seat raises and positions your child so that the lap and shoulder belt fit properly around your child. A booster seat keeps the lap belt from causing injury to your child's abdomen and keeps the shoulder belt in place to protect your child's upper body from injury as well.
