A Royal Disney Princess Afternoon

A few weeks ago I had sent her to go clean her room and after a few minutes I went to go check on her and I found her dressed as Snow White (her favorite) and staring out the window listening to her Disney Princess CD. I loved it! I loved everything about it. I stood there for a few minutes watching her and wondering what she was thinking. It all seemed so peaceful and romantic in it's own special way. So innocent and magical, It all took me back to when I was a little girl.

I bet it's hard not to find a little girl who loves princesses especially the Disney Princesses. Girls fall in love with the magic and romance of it all, I know I did. Every girl, big and small wants to be a princess and that's why every year for Halloween. Emma lee every year for Halloween has dressed up as one of the Disney Princess and she wear's the outfit's through out the year. I remember one year I went as Bell from Beauty And The Best. There is a Disney Princess out there for every girl. They are all so different and unique in their own way and have had to overcome some sort of obstacle to be were they belong.

Last week Emma lee and I went shopping for Disney Princess toys and came home with two castle's (because no princess has just one) and a horse drawn carriage... you know to get from one castle to the other. She was so excited to get home and play with her new toys but first we filled up a large trash bag with toys she has out grown or no longer cares for to donate. Included were a few Disney Princess outfits and hopefully another little girl can dress up like a princess and imagine the magic. The Little People Disney Princess Castle was a must have for us because we love all of our little people toys. She's had them for years and still loves playing with them so they were a great addition to her collection.

It was so adorable to sit and watch her play. She gave those little dolls personality. She sat their for a long while playing and imagining. She had fun dressing them up, feeding them, giving them friends with other Disney princess toys she has. I love how this castle folds up and looks like a castle and opens up to play inside. She truly enjoys playing with both her castles and the carriage.

She loves how the carriage turns into a pumpkin and thought it was funny. Before playing with the toy's it hadn't occurred to me that she has not seen Cinderella yet! So her great grandma who was in town for the Holiday bought it for her.We watched Cinderella together and she loved it and has watched it about 4 times in the last 2 days she's had it. She's asked for The Little Mermaid and I was able to get one online and I can not wait to surprise her with it! It's my favorite Disney Princess movie and I haven't seen it in years.

I look forward to many more afternoons like today with my princess, Emma lee.

  1. Emma Lee looks adorable and I bet she loves all of those toys to pieces! That Cinderella castle is a house favorite of ours and I didn't realize the carriage could turn into a pumpkin - how cool!
