People En Espanol Festival in San Antonio

This weekend I'll be attending a nationwide celebration of culture, entertainment and the Hispanic community.

On August 31st and September 1st, People En Español will host their annual Festival. Festival People En Español 2013 is a 2-day event at San Antonio, Texas. The festival will have free daytime events with celebrities like Maite Perroni, Angelica Maria, Jencarlos Canela, and many more at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. A whole weekend (two days and two nights) which will focus on the issues that we are passionate about: beauty, fashion, food and music. The day will transition into exciting night concerts with Latin celebrities like Gloria Estefan and Demi Lovato which will take place at the Alamodome.

Soledad O'Brien to moderate "Latino's in higher education:Staying in school & achieving success" panel discussion featuring Congressman Joaquin Castro, Pamela Silva-Conde, Bentia Veliz on Saturday, August 31st at 2pm. The discussion will feature segments that address a variety of critical issues with feedback from public figures who have overcome challenges to achieve success. The panel also follows individual community events aimed at supporting education for Hispanic students in San Antonio.


The day time activities at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center are free.
