Maddox is getting older and he is starting to express his personality more, he's become a little boy who knows what he likes and wants and that sometimes conflicts with his older sister's likes and wants. Here's where I'm faced with my most recent parenting challenge. As the kids are getting older, I've noticed that I'm playing referee more often and breaking up arguments between the two. For the most part they get along perfectly most days, Emma lee is such an awesome big sister to her baby brother and still tries to "baby" him whenever she can but Maddox is quickly growing out of that baby stage and is becoming an independent toddler with his own opinions.
Emma Lee and I had a very interesting conversation the other night.
Emma Lee: "Do you know what Maddox is doing?"
Me: "What?"
Emma Lee: "Ruining my life"
Apparently she doesn't like it when he's trying to get into her glitter when she's busy with her crafting and she may be slightly dramatic. I'm sure this is something many parents have heard and something many siblings have said about each other growing up.
It's important that they both know how much they love each other and I help them express their love for each other all the time especially when they are tired of each other. I remind them to be nice to each other and share and to give many many hugs and kisses everyday.
