Charro Beans Recipe


Here is an awesome and simple recipe for Charro Beans. This recipe is delicious and spicy! This recipe has a fair amount of vegetables. Each serving has about 160 calories, 10 grams of protein and very low in fat and sugar.


Serves 6-10

Ingredients:
3 cans - Pinto Beans
12 oz - Bacon
8 cups - Water
1/3 cup - Oil
2 - Tomatoes
1 - Green Pepper
1.5 Tbs - Chicken Bouillon
1/2 - Sweet Onion
2 Tsp - Garlic Powder
2 - Serrano Peppers
Cilantro (handful)


Directions
  1. Dice Tomatoes, Green Pepper, Onion and Serrano Peppers.
  2. Cook your bacon in a skillet until cooked.
  3. Add all ingredients to your slow cooker and cook on high for about 6 hours.
 Don't have a slow cooker? Add all ingredients to a pot, bring to a boil and then reduce to medium heat and cook for an hour.
